Next Stage

We are actively working on two important issues in order to develop the traditional Japanese Urushi techniques and spirit to the next step.

Passing on traditions to the younger generation

The traditions of urushi and makie are passed down from hand to hand. From skilled urushi and makie masters to young female artisans who inherits the skills. Urushi technique is being passed down quietly and surely to the next generation.

Letting more people all over the world know the beauty of urushi

It is our sincere hope that the beauty and practicality of Urushi will become known and used by many more people around the world. To achieve this, we are not limited to the traditional uses of Japanese urushi products, but are always actively working on developing new products to meet the needs from many countries and regions around the world.
